Are Christians arrogant?
|Created by Gerard de Vos|
Category: Christ related
Many people object that Christians are arrogant in suggesting that Jesus is the only Way to God. (John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”) They really should not blame the christian, but rather blame God, since He inspired the written words in John 14:6.
It is acceptable if one tells a friend or neighbor about some exclusive product. But when it comes to an important issue like the requirement for eternal life, then it is arrogance. If one is told that atheism or any of the other philosophies are right, then it is regarded as sound advice, not arrogance.
God as Creator of this world, declared the need of a Savior from the punishment for rebellion against God: Jesus Christ.
The way is open to anyone, regardless of race, age, education, or gender.
God gives it through grace, without works, money or favoritism.
There is only one right road, not twenty or more. People do not have to trouble themselves to decide which is the right one.
God guarantees this way of access to Him. He guarantees eternal life for those who trust in the Lord Jesus. God prepared for thousands of years, predicting the coming of the Savior. The next time you are accused of being arrogant or exclusive, please give the right answer: God in His mercy made it easy and understandable without excluding anybody who wants to be part of His kingdom. (Remember God calls and man responds. This is so that no man can boast.)
God cannot honor the other religions. Each and every religious leader is supposed to guarantee to his followers that he will look after them. For instance atheists are self made men, and they love their creators. It means that after death, they will have to provide their own heavens, since they objected to God’s way to eternal life. If they cannot do it, they will have to be satisfied with the only other alternative, namely a very, very long time in the company of the devil in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).
The message to the world is this: God devised salvation through His Son. He is completely reliable and He guarantees His product. If other leaders fail to give a good inheritance, God cannot rectify it, however good the intentions of a person was. A wrong decision can be very, very costly as there is no possibility of changing one’s situation after death. It is better to decide now on where you will be for billions of years.
