Most people know about Billy Graham, who is now an old man. He worked tirelessly over many decades to bring the gospel of salvation to thousands upon thousands of people. Even when his early buddy, Charles Templeton defected from belief in the Bible, Billy just kept going. The message that Mr Graham brought has to do with the kingdom of God. It explains that man can choose to change allegiance or sides. He can stop following the ways of the world (controlled by the devil) and enter the kingdom of God by the gate, Jesus Christ.
Most people know that God has an enemy, the devil. He copies God in every way.
- As God has a Trinity: God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17), so the devil has one: he, the beast and the false prophet (Revelation 20:10).
- As God says that this world is decaying (Psalm 102:25-27), so the devil desperately tries to save the planet.
- As God has His evangelists, so the devil has his. God’s evangelists bring a message of freedom, while the devil keeps people in bondage. He tries to prevent them from joining God’s kingdom.
The question is, who is the devil’s Billy Graham? We know many people who fit that bill, as obviously Billy Graham was not God’s only evangelist. But one name is very prominent. A man that is just as energetic and ready to spread his gospel as Billy Graham was to spread God’s. That man is Professor Richard Dawkins. Watch this man’s energy, drive and passion as he teaches people that atheism is wonderful and God is terrible. That is the exact opposite of what Billy Graham taught: God is wonderful and the devil is bad.
It is something to see how the world promotes Richard Dawkins, since the world is controlled by the devil. Look at his best sellers, his nominations, his public appearances. What will be the eventual difference between these two men? Billy Graham will arrive in heaven, and God will greet him with: ‘Well done, faithful servant!’ Many saved people will be there to remind Billy of his wonderful work on God’s behalf. Richard Dawkins will arrive in hell (unless he switches sides before death), and will also be greeted with: ‘Well done, Richard, you were faithful in spreading the word, but instead of reward there awaits eternal fire and agony for you.’ Many people will greet him there, not with thanks, but with reproaches, insults and hatred. Why? Because they are experiencing the misery and hopelessness of their situation. They are in agony in the fire for ever (Luke 16:24). There is no possibility to rectify the huge blunder they made. They chose the wrong road, because they listened to and believed a false evangelist.
People might ask how sure we are of these statements about heaven and hell? Anyone who carefully investigates the Bible will immediately be struck by the uniqueness of this wonderful book. It is very clear that this book is not of human origin. If it was, we would have had many books like it. We do not. It has impacted history and changed the lives of millions of people.
Atheism is propagated so strongly by Richard Dawkins and others, because they use evolution to ‘prove’ that there is no Creator God. (Scientifically there are still no proofs that evolution is possible: that new information on the DNA can be added by the organism itself; that irreducibly complex mechanisms in living things can form step by step; and that life could arise out of lifeless ‘rocks’.) For those who think that evolution is a scientific fact, Michael Ruse burst that bubble effectively: ‘Evolution is a religion. It was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution today.’ (1) A religion must have its adherents and evangelists. The only problem with this religion is it cannot provide a heaven, as nature (the god of evolution) has no creative powers, least of all to give man an eternal paradise. The devil has no interest in seeing that people side with God: he wants them in hell, and he wants them to decide that they hate God.
For those who believe in the living God, keep on going strong. The reward of an eternal life with the heavenly Father is coming. It is going to be wonderful. And warn those you know are being deceived by the devil’s evangelists. They try to convince people that everything they see around them came about naturally and the creator God does not exist. But their clever arguments cannot make the God who will judge the living and the dead go away (Revelation 20:11-15).
