Will there be science in heaven?

This world is governed by laws of nature, ordained by God (‘As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease’ - Genesis 8:22). God commanded men to subdue the earth (‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over’ nature - Genesis 1:28). One way to do this is by understanding the laws of nature, discovered through scientific endeavor. Through science, laws of nature are researched, formulated and applied for man’s benefit. The patents that scientists register speak of man’s ingenuity in his search to understand the material principles around him.
What will be different in the new world of Revelation 21 and 22? (There are other parts in the Bible that speak of it, but for simplicity we will concentrate on the two last chapters of Revelation which describe the culmination of God’s plan for man.) On the new earth that is promised, it will no longer be necessary to subdue the earth. It will be a completely different earth. For example God and Jesus will be the source of light and we will not need the sun. The fruit trees will bear 12 times per year. It will be a super world: there will not be any sea, and we infer no impenetrable jungles or desert wastelands. All the animals and men will be in perfect peace with each other. There will be no more decay: the second law of thermodynamics will have ceased, because it will be an eternal earth (it will most probably be sustained by Jesus’ powerful word). As there will be no sickness, no tears, no pain, no deaths, no worries (so no stress related illnesses), we will need no medicine, no doctors, no hospitals, no research into better medicines. Science will not be necessary, and will not be able to function, as everything will be different. Just imagine that there will be no earth warming, no depletion of earth’s reserves of coal, wood, or whatever. There will be no problem with the extinction of animals because of the destruction of their habitat. God’s children will live in golden cities with precious stones. We will not need concrete, tar, or iron to build homes (Jesus completed everything in preparation for His Bride, John 14:11-4).
There will be no science laboratories, or scientists there. As God designed this world for scientific research, the next one has been designed for eternal enjoyment. We will not only play harps and sing. Just as Adam had to work and take care of Eden, so we will work and take care of God’s creation (Genesis 2:15). If all this sounds too good to be true, answer just one question: why is there a world wide opposition to the Bible? Nobody can answer this strange phenomenon naturally. The reason is that there is only one book in man’s entire history that reveals this picture of God’s plan for man. Opposition to the Bible has been going on for the last 2000 years. We can only conclude that the devil, who rules the world, has a good knowledge of the wonderful destination awaiting believers. He is fighting desperately to prevent this knowledge from getting out. He will never see or experience God’s kingdom again. He doesn’t grant man the privilege of choosing God and preparing for this glorious eternity. This explains the battle against the Bible, the longest war in all history.
